Location

From the main Dublin-Belfast Road at the Roundabout (south of Newry) take the road signposted to ‘Forkhill’.

 

Travel along this road to the Villiage of Meigh (3 miles) at the crossroad turn left at Murphy’s pub over the railway line and take the next turn right into Foughilletra Road travel along for 2 miles and on the left hand side of the road is ‘Yew Wood Cottage’ up on the hill.

 

The nearest TIC is: Newry Tourist Information Centre.

 

In Meigh Village, there is a post office nearby with supermarket, chemist, florist, laundry and a 5 star hair and beauty salon which caters to all your needs. It is approximately 6 miles to Newry City and approx 8 miles to Dundalk for Shopping Malls.

 

When visiting beautiful Carlingford, you can relax and enjoy a drink in Taffe’s Castle Bar.

 

There is a selection of local events in the surrounding area including a festival in Forkhill.
